Sweetened and often aromatic, elixirs are magical concoctions, vehicles of the quintessence of herbs!

Similarly to tinctures, elixirs utilize alcohol to extract and preserve the medicinal constituents of herbs. However, most tinctures are simply made with grain alcohol and herbs, whereas elixirs incorporate all manner of spirits and are often sweetened with honey, vegetable glycerin or cane sugar and are quiet yummy. Elixirs are concentrated and are taken by the dropperful or ½ tsp. One can take an elixir straight or may dilute it in a little warm water or juice. The positive attributes of elixirs are many; they are potent, easily absorbed by the body, more tasty than plain tinctures, convenient to carry with you, easy to take, and have a long shelf life.

Singing Spring's tinctures are handcrafted, in small batches, using time honored methods and the finest quality ingredients. The herbs are always certified organically grown or ethically wild-harvested, at their peak of potency, from the most vibrant and healthy plants. We never rush the extraction process either. We feel it takes two lunar cycles to create a most powerful extract, so this we do for assurance. All our elixirs are full spectrum as well, offering each plant’s complete array of constituents to support your health and wellbeing. Our elixirs do not contain artificial sweeteners, or flavorings, only natures finest for your wellbeing.

To maintain optimal potency, we recommend storing your elixirs in a cool dark cupboard. However, when using them, it’s fine to carry them around in purse or pack, or leave them sitting out on a kitchen shelf. Like tinctures elixirs are a stable and long lasting form of herbal medicine; they actually never “go bad” because alcohol doesn’t spoil. That said, we do recommend using them up in one to two years as their potency can lessen. We certainly want you to receive their full benefits.
